Summer Medici Fountain Elopement in Paris

This is the story of Hannah and Drew and their summer elopement in Paris at the Medici fountain in Luxembourg Gardens. Summer is the best time of the year to elope in Paris. The temperatures are “agréable” especially in the morning, so you feel comfortable even in sleeveless wedding dresses such as Hannah here. Let’s explore this beautiful summer elopement with photos in the Luxembourg Gardens, the Eiffel Tower (Trocadéro view) and the quaint streets of Montmartre. Here are a few highlights.

By the way, my name is Fran Boloni and I’m the founder of The Paris Photographer, a team of talented Paris elopement photographers available to capture your beautiful day in Paris.

Now back to the elopement story.

THE ELOPEMENT CEREMONY AT THE MEDICI FOUNTAIN

Did you know that the Medici fountain can be found in the Luxembourg Gardens and was built in 1619 by Marie de Médicis, who cas the mother of King Louis XIII? What makes it a beautiful backdrop for elopement ceremonies is the white marble structure and the decorations of sculptures of nymphs, gods and goddesses.

If you’re wondering: should be only exchange vows during our elopement ceremony or should we hire a Paris officiant. It’s a topic that we cover in our Paris elopement guide, that we highly recommend to read before you start planning your elopement. We also have a few Paris celebrants that we warmly recommend. The officiant for this ceremony at the Medicis fountain was the lovely Laura Montorio from The Paris Officiant. What we like about her ceremonies is that she goes into full personalization, making the ceremony feels very unique and personal to you.

Hannah & Drew decided to have their close family by their side for their elopement in Paris. After the personalized wedding ceremony moment, they exchanged vows and wedding rings. The ceremony ended with a super sweet and romantic first kiss. We then proceeded with some cute elopement pictures in that precise spot, before moving to the next location, which is …. wait for it … the Eiffel Tower.

ELOPEMENT PHOTOS IN PARIS AT THE EIFFEL TOWER

We think as a team of elopement photographers in Paris, that around 90% of our elopement brides opt for wedding pictures by the Eiffel Tower. It has something magical about it that simply can’t change our clients mind about exploring other parts of the city.

We don’t have much information about the wedding dress our bride was wearing. However, we have knowledge about the best places to take elopement photos in Paris outdoors. Trocadéro is the main viewpoint for amazing Eiffel Tower photos. If you are also lucky to have a sunny summer day as Hannah and Drew had, then it’s even more amazing.

One of the great things about eloping to Paris is that you have the opportunity to explore the city and have memories in places that people only dream about visiting. For the last part of the elopement shoot, we went to the iconic area of Montmartre. One of the best outdoor area to take wedding photos.

ELOPEMENT PACKAGE WITH MONTMARTRE PHOTOS

Some people consider Montmartre the most romantic neighborhood in Paris. I would go to say that Montmartre looks like the most genuine Paris. Why? First, it’s one of the few places that still has cobblestone streets, small squares and hidden courtyards. This offers a sense of intimacy to your elopement photos in Paris. Second, you have a breathtaking view over different parts of the city. Then, the buildings have that typical Parisian look (Haussmannian). Lastly, the cafés, the bistrots are simply charming, a perfect place to share a glass of champagne, wine or cappuccino.

If you wish to discover Montmartre by yourselves, we recommend a few well known places and streets such as: Place du Tertre, rue de l’Abreuvoir, Clos Montmartre, La Maison Rose (which is not pink anymore), Square Nadar and Le Consulat.

Regardless of what Paris elopement package you decide on, if you like the places that you see in this elopement gallery, make sure to include it in the itinerary.

I hope that this elopement gallery helped you discover places that are popular but that we see rarely on elopement photography pages. The Medici fountain is an iconic place for dreamy elopement ceremonies. The Montmartre is simply Parisian by nature. Perfect for wedding photos. As to the Eiffel Tower, we don’t need to describe it, it’s unique. Unless you consider the one in Las Vegas a competitor ha ha.
