This is the Shangri La Paris elopement of Andrea and Michael. I hope that this gallery will inspire you and help you decide if this magnificent venue is the right one for your elopement in Paris. But, I got ahead of myself. Let’s start with the beginning.
Many couples who decide to elope to Paris, have the opportunity to do a couples photo shoot in this romantic city. A good reason to put on a super cool dress and heels and enjoy the city as lovebirds. Yes, just the two of you.
If the photoshoot is before your elopement, then it’s going to be an engagement shoot. This is the first option, and something that couples do typically if they didn’t had a chance to take engagement photos before their wedding day.
The second option is to take photos after your Paris elopement or Paris wedding if you wish. Here, you can wear your wedding dress and do a “wedding photoshoot” or a just for fun romantic photo session in Paris. Whatever you choose, it’s going to be amazing, because, you’re in Paris and you’re in the great hands of talented Paris elopement photographers.
Red balloons, or balloons of any color can work great for romantic photos in Paris. Other props could be: champagne, sunglasses, baguettes (cheecky!), a vintage car, etc
Andrea and Michael decided to have their engagement photos a day before their Paris wedding and we took the happy couple around the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre Museum for a bunch of romantic poses.
Fast forward to the day of their Paris elopement at the Shangri La, we started the getting ready in one of the beautiful suites of this 5 star Parisian palace.
Photographing the moments of getting ready is something that we particularly love. While details here might be important, our focus on the human part of this important moment of the wedding day is what sets us apart from other elopement photographers.
When you are planning your Paris elopement, one of the aspects that will shape your story in Paris is whether you plan to do a first look and if yes, where. You can pick a specific spot in the venue of your Paris elopement ceremony or a spot in the city, with an iconic backdrop if you are first taking photos in Paris and then the ceremony.
Andrea and Michael have choosen to do a traditional first look, meaning that they will see each other dressed in bride and groom, in the beginning of the ceremony.
Imagine the anticipation, the feelings when you see each other dressed in your wedding outfits. We would be delighted to be there and capture these precious moments for you. Get to know us, click below.
This is when we arrive to the most important moment of the day, the Paris elopement ceremony. Most couples decide to hire a Paris officiant, or celebrant to put together a personalized ceremony. The Shangri has several rooms dedicated to events. The Grand Salon is one of the most beautiful given it’s golden details and gorgeous chandeliers.
That being said, you can also decide to only exchange vows and have a very simple ceremony. Whatever you decide, it will be meaningful to you as a couple.
After they have been pronounced husband and wife, it was time for elopement celebrations. Champgne and flower petals.
It would not make sense to get married in Paris in this fantastic venue, without taking wedding photos inside the Shangri La.
Some of the spots that come to mind are: the Grand Salon, the staircase and your suite at the Shangri La with the fantastic view over the Eiffel Tower.
We hope that these Paris elopement photos inspire you to consider the Shangri La as your elopement venue. It can be a great option for a ceremony spot indoors, in case the weather is not beautiful. It can also be an option for sunny days, but when you wish to have a ceremony spot that exudes luxury and royal details.
If you are set on a Paris elopement package including Shangri La as your elopement venue, we would be honored to be considered to photograph your Paris wedding. Below we added a few more images from the engagement shoot Andrea & Michael did the day before they eloped at the Shangri La in Paris.
