Your probably asked yourself already …
1
What outfit should I wear to flatter my body type?
2
What colors should I wear to match my skin color or the actual location for the photo session?
3
What outfit should I wear for a winter photo session? How about for a summer shoot?
4
What good taste is when it comes to choosing my outfit?
This guide will try to answer all questions about what photoshoot outfit to wear for Paris photography.
Choosing your photoshoot outfit to match your body type is important. If you are short be careful with proportions. Choose short dresses or dresses with high waist. Always wear heels to flatter your body.
You are lucky! But there are some things to have in mind. Even if high heels are not a necessity, you can always go for a medium high heels for a more feminine look. Don’t choose dresses that are 3/4 long.
If you are skinny things are much easier. But, if you are skinny with no shape try to choose feminine cuts that will mark your waist.
If you are voluptuous don’t choose large dresses and large clothes in general. Choose a dress with cleavageand choose bold colors.

They will always look nice with the wind. Try silk or something similar; it’s light and easy to wear when you are moving from one location to the other or when you are trying to sit. We can create impressive photos with the wind blowing and a flowly dress; it adds energy and movement to the image.
We love flower prints and in the S-S season they are always a good idea. You can choose from so many prints, but make sure you don’t choose the big, loud ones , they will distract from your faces.Choose a small and subtle pattern and try always to stick to one pattern, otherwise it will look hectic in the images. Try to match him too. A nice trick is for him to have a handkerchief that matches your photoshoot outfit dress.
Colors are always cool but totally matching might be too much, except if you are choosing an all black outfit, which is not necessarily something that suits every couple. Just try to match and have colors that look good together. We always recommend sticking to neutral and pastels colors. try to avoid bright and fluorescent colors; it’s very distracting in the pictures.
Matching photoshoot outfits are important. You have to be on the same wavelength with your partner. So both your styles are important. Be aware of his outfit and try to match the styles. If he’s more like a suit person, try to come up with an elegant dress. For a casual look with jeans and a nice shirt, bring a cute skirt or a playful midi dress and wear medium heels.
Pastel are very nice and in Paris they will always look beautiful. We recommend our clients sticking to pastels and neutral colors when deciding on their photoshoot outfit. You can’t go wrong, especially if you just got engaged in Paris!
Sometimes they are nice, but we suggest that if you choose pastel colors for the dress to choose bold colors for the flowers and vice versa. If our complete outfit is based on bold colors might be distracting and the attention will jump from you on the outfits or our goal is brig the attention on your couple and your love story.

You can’t go wrong with black. But if you love black and always wear it try something else this time, because it’s a unique moment and you might want to look different.
2
Stripes look nice and you can play with them when it comes to your morphology, but they are not ideal in pictures; it gives an unpleasant Moiré effect.
3
Make sure you try your outfit at home. If you are wearing an old dress from your wardrobe, you might want to make sure it still fits.
Paris has a 4 seasons climate so winter can get very cold and summer is sometimes extremely hot. Despite the unexpected weather, Paris remains one of the most beautiful and romantic cities in the world.
We have planned a few inspirational Pinterest boards to give you an idea of an ideal photoshoot outfit for the different moments of the year.

Most of you are wondering what’s the secret formula to get the best pictures in Paris?
We spend time on Pinterest and Instagram to get inspired for our photoshoot outfit ; we know every shoes and dress creator that ever existed and we hope to have all those beautiful items in our closet one day.
Well, there is no secret formula, it’s all about enjoying the moment, celebrating life with the one you love and not forget to be who you really are. After all, the emotion is making the picture glow and not those red sole shoes. I’m one of those people who are crazy about beautiful shoes and I got myself a few pairs, so I came out with 3 rules to consider when choosing your perfect shoes for your Paris photos.
1
We sometimes don’t realize how uncomfortable can be those perfect shoes we looked for weeks and weeks on Pinterest. You finally got your pair of shoes, try to wear them at home, a few times before the photo session. Make sure the leather got the shape of your feet and you fell them like your second nature.
2
Choose colors, unique creations, dare, after all you are in Paris, where everything is about fashion, style and beauty!
“Dress like you are already famous!“

You will probably say a 12 mm is not such a big deal when you are already used to wear 8 mm or 10 mm. Well, you might be surprised. Every inch counts and the posture of your body depends on that. When you wear 12 mm, your feet are stretched and you will feel all the pressure in your ankles. I think we all made this mistake at least once and those lovely shoes we were crazy about are now left forgotten in a box, in the back of our closet

When it comes to “props” you can be as creative as you can. You can opt for a beautiful flowers bouquet, some balloons if you have a playful personality, sunglasses, hats, a picnic basket, macarons, champagne and the list is never-ending.
Make sure to show your true personalities by using the props. Don’t choose something that didn’t represent you as a couple or as individuals just because you liked a pictures on Instagram or Pinterest.
…hats, flowers, jewelry, champagne
They are always nice and they complete the look.
Don’t take your watch with you to the photo shoot!
Take your sunglasses and take a pair for him too. You will look cool and the sun will don’t bother you.
Don’t take all your photos with the sunglasses on!

A lot of people are asking us if they should do their hair and MU by a professional artist before a photo session. We always say “YES” because this is the perfect opportunity to look amazing; we will create memories that you will cherish forever; you want to be proud with the final result and proudly dispose the images on your walls or in a beautiful Prints Box on your coffee Table. Professional beauty services will hence compliment your photoshoot outfit.
If your are not used to wearing makeup than you might want to go with a light & natural aspect; make sure you tell the artist so he/she can avoid using strong colors or red lipstick; you might be unconformable with the result if it’s “too much makeup” on your face all of a sudden.
IMPORTANT
If you are coming from the US you should check the plugs power before using any electronics. The power in France is higher and your electronic devices might get burned.
