Cloudy Joyful Trocadero Elopement

Let’s explore Nicole and Albert’s joyful Trocadero elopement on a cloudy day early summer in Paris. They got ready and had a first look moment on a private terrace overlooking the Arc de Triomphe. The ceremony took place in the gardens of Trocadero, probably the best spot for Eiffel Tower weddings. Followed by elopement photos in quite few iconic Parisian landmarks: Carette for the macarons, Pont des Arts (love locks bridge), Tuileries Gardens and the Louvre Museum. Let’s start with the highlights.

GETTING READY – PRIVATE TERRACE AT ARC DE TRIOMPHE

Here is a great idea when deciding on where you’ll stay during your elopement to Paris. It doesn’t matter if the hotel or private apartment doesn’t like nice inside. If it has a terrace or rooftop access and you have a view, just go for it!

A private terrace can allow you to have intimacy and set up a first look moment before going out in the city for your elopement ceremony.

CEREMONY AT TROCADERO – EIFFEL TOWER

We insist on this often, if you wish to have an Eiffel Tower ceremony or take elopement photos at Trocadéro, we must go there early in the morning. Passed 9AM, the place starts to get packed with tourists and we’ll be limited in available photo spots. No wonder this is one the most wanted locations for elopement ceremonies.

You can choose to hire a Paris officiant or if you are traveling with your close family or best friends, then you can include them somehow. One of your friends can perform the ceremony. Yes, it might be more meaningful for you as your friends might know you more than a stranger Parisian celebrant. That being said, a professional Paris officiant will personalize the ceremony to you and has experience in this field that can help you in many situations.

ELOPEMENT PHOTOS IN A FRENCH CAFE

Making a quick stop in a Parisian café on the day of your Paris elopement is a great idea. First, it allows you to freshen up (your hair, your make-up, etc). Then, you actually take a break from standing, posing, walking, hugging, kissing, etc But you don’t take a break from having fun. At least not in the case of Nicole and Albert. When it comes to fun, some of the coolest props you can use are macarons. Besides, they taste delicious. Especially these from Carette. You should try them. Even if you don’t elope to Paris! Last, these café photos will add a fun dimension to your wedding gallery and album.

PONT DES ARTS ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHY

If you haven’t heard of Pont des Arts before, well it’s the bridge that had all the love locks, until it didn’t. Now it doesn’t look that romantic, but you still get an incredible view over the Pont Neuf and the Ile de la Cité. Some of the oldest and most beautiful neighborhoods of Paris. Talk about perfect spots for gorgeous elopement photos, even on a cloudy day.

Quick location tip: from the Pont des Arts you can walk inside the square courtyard of the Louvre Museum. It’s literally 5 minutes. Plus crossing the street.

LOUVRE MUSEUM ELOPEMENT PHOTOS

The Louvre has two main courtyards which have distinct features and hence they offer different elopement photography opportunities. The Napoleon courtyard has a big glass pyramid in the middle, is surrounded by ancient elegant lamps and architecture. The square courtyard is only architecture. Here, the details are gorgeous and offer really elegant photo perspective.

If you wish to incorporate nature, trees, greenery into your elopement itinerary, after the Louvre, you can walk into the Tuileries Garden.

ELOPEMENT PHOTOS IN THE TUILERIES GARDENS

The Tuileries have a passage on the side, with perfectly trimmed trees and usually very few people passing by. This makes it an ideal elopement location for gorgeous pictures. We recommend adding it to your Paris elopement itinerary in the months between April and November. For the rest of the year, the leafless tress make this park look desolate. Not that romantic. It works great for moody photos though.
