Throughout the years, as Paris elopement photographers we had the chance to be part of so many exquisite elopements. However, this incredible American church elopement is one that will forever stay in our heart.
But before we get to the ceremony at the American church, let’s take things in order.
The bride decided to book the Rooftop Garden suite at The Peninsula for her wedding night. We joined her for the getting ready photos.
It was the first time for us to discover such an intricate head piece, that was highlighting her flawless face.
One of the most beautiful moments that we like to capture in our job as elopement photographers is the first look. While A and R had a traditional church ceremony scheduled, they prefered doing the “first look” before they headed to the American church.
The first look took place hence on the staircase of the Peninsula Paris. Quite an iconic spot, secluded but public in the same time.
After the first look, it was time for the couple and us to jump in cars and head to the American Church in Paris. A 10 minutes car drive. The vibe at the church was quite relaxed. However, you could see the anticipation on the face of the groom and the pastor, while the bride was making her way down the isle.
The ceremony was absolutely beautifful. This time, it was not a Paris celebrant officiating the ceremony, as it happens during most Paris elopements, but a real pastor. The entire ceremony was meaningful and touching.
Did you know that the candle lighting ceremony during a wedding is a symbolic representation of two individuals into one? Perhaps something to incorporate into your elopement ceremony too? It represent unity, new beginnings, eternal love and it also has spiritual significance, such as the presence of a higher power.
After the elopement ceremony was done, the couple jumped into a vintage car and we headed out to take elopement photos in Paris. Let me walk you through some of the iconic spots that look spectacular for wedding photos.
How can it be an unforgettable elopement in Paris, without wedding pictures with the Eiffel Tower? At least that’s how it used to be a few years ago. Do you think it’s still the case? Let us know in the comment section at the end of this post.
This was a typical weekend afternoon and Trocadero, the best spot for Eiffel Tower photos, was packed. We were fortunate enough to have kind people around who allowed us to squeeze in and get some really romantic wedding pictures for our happy couple.
Did I mention that this is the part that we enjoy and master the best? As elopement photographers in Paris, we live and breath photos in Paris for couples to elope to the city of lights. We would be honored to capture your wedding day in Paris. Explore if we would be the right fit. Click below!
If we had to choose our photographers favorite location to catch the sunset in Paris, we would hesitate between the Alexander 3 bridge, the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre Museum. The latter is probably the most spectacular.
The lights on the lamps, the lights on the pyramid, get increasingly stronger, just as the light in the sky gets dimmer and dimmer. Until you hit blue hour and the sky becomes this deep blue. Ideal for night elopement pictures in Paris.
If you wish to have truly unforgettable memories in Paris for your elopement, try to have a few photos of the Eiffel Tower at night.
We haven’t spoken about props at all. Well perhaps because when you are wearing a wedding dress you don’t really need props. You also have the bridal bouquet, which is by definition the ultimate prop for wedding photos. But, if you are a fun couple and wish to have some fun elopement photos, then a champagne pop could be something extra.
This Champagne shower was so much fun to capture. We love these moments so so much! But it was time to get back to the hotel for the last part of the elopement in Paris.
Here comes the last part of this elopement in Paris at the American church: the wedding cake. If you’d like to end your elopement day with something sweet, make sure to select a Paris elopement package that includes a wedding cake too.
We hope that this real elopement story will inspire you for your upcoming elopement in Paris. I would recommend that you check out these other elopement stories too:
